Public Bus
If you're starting from the center of Ha Long, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for bus number 14 which travels towards Tuần Châu Island. Buses typically run every 15-30 minutes. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes. Disembark when the bus reaches the Tuần Châu stop. From there, walk straight down the road towards the port entrance, which is well-signposted.
Motorbike Taxi (GrabBike)
Open the Grab app on your smartphone and select 'GrabBike'. Enter your pick-up location and search for 'Halong Bay Port' or use the coordinates WXFJ+9V8 to ensure you're directed to the correct place. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Be sure to wear a helmet and enjoy the breeze as you ride!
Walking
If you are staying near the beach area in Ha Long, you can walk to Halong Bay Port. Start by heading towards the main road, Trần Quốc Nghiễn. Walk along the road, and you’ll eventually see signs pointing towards Tuần Châu Island. Continue walking straight; it will take approximately 45 minutes to reach the port. Enjoy the local scenery and vibrant life along the way.
Bicycle Rental
You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops around Ha Long. From your rental shop, head towards the main road and cycle towards Tuần Châu. Follow the signs as you approach the port area. Cycling is a great way to see the area and will take around 30 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
