Getting There

• Bicycle

  From the center of Hoi An, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops available. Head north on Hai Ba Trung Street until you reach the intersection with Tran Hung Dao Street. Turn right on Tran Hung Dao and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Cua Dai Street. Follow Cua Dai Street for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Bãi Biển Cửa Đại as you approach the beach. The beach will be on your right.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start from the Hoi An Ancient Town. Head towards the Japanese Covered Bridge and then go straight on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Tran Hung Dao Street. Continue straight for another 2 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Cua Dai Street and walk for approximately 5 kilometers. The beach will be on your right-hand side. Note that this walk may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

• Motorbike Taxi (Grab or GoJek)

  Open the Grab or GoJek app on your smartphone while in Hoi An. Set your destination to 'Bãi Biển Cửa Đại'. The app will provide you with the closest motorbike taxi. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately 30,000 to 50,000 VND. Ensure that you confirm the driver is taking you to the correct beach location.

• Local Bus

  Look for the local bus station in Hoi An, typically located near the Old Town. Take the bus heading to Cua Dai Beach (Cửa Đại). The bus will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the beach stop, follow the crowd or signs to reach Bãi Biển Cửa Đại. The fare is about 20,000 VND. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times.
