Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Hue (e.g., from the Imperial City), head east on Le Loi Street. Continue straight until you reach Tran Hung Dao Street. Turn left onto Tran Hung Dao Street and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will reach the intersection with Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Street. Here, turn right and walk straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers, following the riverbank. You will see the entrance to Thien Mu Pagoda on your left, just before the bridge.

• Cyclo (Pedicab)

  You can hire a cyclo from any location in Hue, especially in the central areas like near the Imperial City. Inform the driver that you want to go to Thien Mu Pagoda. The route will likely take you along Le Loi Street, then onto Tran Hung Dao Street, and finally to Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Street. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic, and the drivers are familiar with the area.

• Bicycle Rental

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Hue. Start from the central area, cycling east on Le Loi Street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Tran Hung Dao Street. Continue for another kilometer, then turn right onto Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Street. Follow this road along the river for about 1.5 kilometers until you see Thien Mu Pagoda on your left. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes.

• Boat Ride

  If you're looking for a scenic route, consider taking a boat from the Hue city center. Head to the boat dock along the Perfume River. Purchase a ticket for a boat that goes to Thien Mu Pagoda; this is a popular tour. The boat ride takes around 30-40 minutes, and you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the views along the river. Once you arrive, the pagoda will be directly in front of you.
