Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Sapa town, specifically from the Sapa Stone Church. Head south on Muong Hoa Street for approximately 500 meters until you reach the Cat Cat Village entrance. Look for signs indicating 'Cat Cat Village' – it's a popular tourist attraction. Once at the entrance, pay the small entrance fee if required. Follow the well-marked paths leading into Cat Cat Village, and continue walking downhill towards the viewpoint. The route will take you through the village, allowing you to enjoy the local culture and stunning surroundings. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Cat Cat Viewpoint, where you can take in breathtaking views of the terraced rice fields and the mountains.

• Trekking

  For a more adventurous route, you can opt for a guided trekking tour that starts from Sapa town. Many local tour operators offer this service. Meet your guide at the designated meeting point in Sapa, often near the Sapa Market. The trek will take you through beautiful landscapes and local villages, including Cat Cat Village. The trek typically lasts around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace, and will lead you directly to the Cat Cat Viewpoint. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the terrain can be steep in places.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sapa. Start your journey from the town center and head south on Muong Hoa Street. Continue biking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Cat Cat Village entrance. The ride will take you through stunning landscapes, but be cautious of the uphill paths and steep sections. Once you reach the entrance, park your bicycle and walk down the trails to the Cat Cat Viewpoint. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic beauty at a leisurely pace.
