Getting there

Car

If you are driving from the center of Tam Dao, head south on Đường Tam Đảo (Tam Dao Road) towards Minh Quang. Continue straight for about 6 kilometers until you reach the intersection near Minh Quang village. Take a left turn onto the road leading to Thác Thậm Thình, which is marked with local signs. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the parking area near the waterfall. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 10,000 VND.

Public Transportation

To reach Thác Thậm Thình via public transport, take a local bus or taxi from the center of Tam Dao to Minh Quang village. Buses run regularly and the fare is usually about 20,000 VND. Once you arrive at Minh Quang, you can either walk or hire a motorbike taxi to take you the remaining 1 kilometer to the waterfall. Be sure to negotiate the fare, which should be around 30,000 VND.

Walking

If you're up for a little adventure, you can also hike to Thác Thậm Thình. Start from the center of Tam Dao and follow the road towards Minh Quang. The hike is about 6 kilometers and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. The path is scenic, but be prepared for some steep sections. Once you reach Minh Quang, follow the signs to the waterfall, which is about 1 kilometer away.
