Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, head towards the center of Tam Dao. From Tam Dao town center, take the road leading to Đạo Trù. Follow the signs to Đạo Trù, which will be a scenic drive through the mountains. About 4 kilometers from the town, you will reach a fork; take the left road. Continue driving for about 1 kilometer until you see a small sign indicating the Waterfall. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car. The last stretch to the waterfall is a short 10-minute walk on a well-marked path.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus from Hanoi to Tam Dao. Once you arrive in Tam Dao, you can either hire a taxi or use a local motorbike taxi (xe ôm) to reach Đạo Trù. Make sure to tell the driver your destination - Waterfall. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival in Đạo Trù, you may need to walk approximately 20 minutes on a marked trail to reach the Waterfall. It's advisable to check with your driver about the best drop-off point for the trailhead.

Walking

If you prefer to walk from Tam Dao town center, it is a 5-kilometer hike to the Waterfall. Start from the main square in Tam Dao and follow the road to Đạo Trù. You will pass through beautiful landscapes and local villages. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
