Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of the Chesapeake Bay Region. Use a GPS or map application and enter the address '968 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662'. If you're coming from Norfolk, take I-64 E. Continue on I-64 E for approximately 20 miles, then take exit 255 for US-17 N toward Yorktown. Merge onto US-17 N and follow it for about 10 miles. Turn left onto Poquoson Ave, and the museum will be on your right. There is free parking available at the museum.

To reach Poquoson Museum via public transportation, take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus. Catch the bus route 123 from downtown Hampton or Newport News towards Poquoson. Disembark at the stop closest to Poquoson Ave. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the museum. Be sure to check the HRT website for the latest schedules and any applicable fares. As of now, a one-way fare is approximately $1.50.
