Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Virginia Beach and head northeast on Virginia Beach Blvd (US-58). Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with N Witchduck Rd. Turn left onto N Witchduck Rd and continue for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Parish Rd, and The Thoroughgood House will be on your left at 1636 Parish Rd. There is parking available at the site.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service. Board the Route 20 bus at a nearby stop heading towards the Virginia Beach Town Center. Transfer to Route 23 at the Town Center. This bus will take you closer to the Thoroughgood House area. Once you arrive at the stop nearest to Parish Rd, it will be about a 10-minute walk to the house. Follow Parish Rd towards the address 1636 Parish Rd. Be sure to check the HRT website for the latest schedule and any fare costs, which typically range from $1.50 to $2.00 per ride.
