If you are driving from the center of Chesapeake, head southeast on S Battlefield Blvd toward Great Bridge Blvd. Continue on S Battlefield Blvd for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Great Bridge Blvd, and then take a left onto Battlefield Blvd. After approximately 1 mile, the Great Bridge Battlefield will be on your right. There is ample parking available at the site.

To reach Great Bridge Battlefield using public transportation, you can take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus. Board the Route 1 bus towards the Greenbrier area. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Great Bridge Blvd & Battlefield Blvd stop. From there, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the battlefield. Head south on Battlefield Blvd until you reach the battlefield entrance. Be sure to check the HRT website for the current bus schedule and fares, which typically cost around $1.50 per ride.
