From there, transfer to the 'Blue Ridge Parkway Shuttle' (check local schedules for availability) which will take you closer to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Disembark at the nearest stop to HJ3M+W4J, Big Island, VA. You may need to walk a short distance to reach the exact location.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in downtown Lynchburg. Head south on Main Street towards the James River, and follow the riverfront trail until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street and continue until you reach the intersection with US-29. Carefully cross the highway and follow the signs for the Blue Ridge Parkway. The ride to the Lowest Point will take approximately 45 minutes and will involve some uphill cycling as you approach the parkway.
