To reach Town Point Park from anywhere in Newport News, start by locating the nearest bus stop. The Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) operates several bus routes that connect Newport News to Norfolk. You can take the HRT Bus Route 45, which runs from Newport News to Norfolk. Board the bus and ride it to the stop at Waterside Drive and Main Street. From there, it’s just a short walk to Town Point Park. Head northeast on Waterside Drive, and within a few minutes, you will arrive at the park entrance.

If you're near the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport or the downtown area, you can take the HRT Light Rail service. Board the light rail at the nearest station and ride towards the Norfolk station. Once you arrive at the Norfolk station, exit and head towards the Waterside District. Follow the signs to Waterside Drive, and you will find Town Point Park within a short walking distance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing programs available in Newport News. Start your journey by heading towards the James River Bridge, which has a designated bike path. Once you cross the bridge into Norfolk, follow the bike lanes along Waterside Drive.
