Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Petersburg Visitor Center at 100 River Street, head west on River Street towards North Sycamore Street. Turn left onto North Sycamore Street and continue until you reach East Washington Street. Turn right onto East Washington Street and walk until you reach the intersection with South Crater Road. Turn left onto South Crater Road and walk until you reach the intersection with Upper Appomattox Street. Turn right onto Upper Appomattox Street, and you will find Battersea Foundation at 1289 Upper Appomattox St on your left.

• Public Transportation

  From the Petersburg Station (Amtrak), exit the station and head to the nearest bus stop. Take the Petersburg Area Transit Bus Route 1 (Crater Road). Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Upper Appomattox Street. Once you get off, walk south on Upper Appomattox Street, and Battersea Foundation will be located at 1289 Upper Appomattox St.

• Bicycling

  If you are renting a bike, start from the Petersburg Riverfront Park. Head north on the bike path towards East Washington Street. Once you reach East Washington Street, turn left and continue until you hit South Crater Road. Turn right onto South Crater Road and ride until you reach Upper Appomattox Street. Turn left onto Upper Appomattox Street and continue until you see Battersea Foundation at 1289 Upper Appomattox St.
