    To get to Woodland Park Zoo from downtown Bellevue, start by walking to the Bellevue Transit Center. Once there, board the Sound Transit Bus Route 542 towards Seattle. Once on the bus, you will ride for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at 'Northgate Station.' From Northgate Station, transfer to Bus Route 75 towards 'Phinney Ave N & N 50th St.' Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop near 'Phinney Ave N & N 55th St.' From there, walk south on Phinney Ave N for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Woodland Park Zoo.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Bellevue. Start by biking west on NE 8th St towards Bellevue Way NE. Follow Bellevue Way NE until you reach the I-90 trail. Take the I-90 trail heading west towards Seattle. Continue on the trail until you reach the Montlake Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the path that leads to the east side of Lake Washington. Follow the signs towards Woodland Park Zoo, which is located in the Phinney Ridge area of Seattle. The total biking distance is approximately 15 miles, so be prepared for a good ride!

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from downtown Bellevue and head towards the Eastside Rail Corridor Trail. Walk north along the trail, which will lead you towards Kirkland. Stay on the trail until you reach the junction with the Burke-Gilman Trail. Follow the Burke-Gilman Trail west until you reach Ballard, then navigate through the neighborhoods towards Phinney Ridge. Woodland Park Zoo is located in this area, and it’s a scenic walk, but it will take several hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
