Car
From Seattle, take I-5 North. Merge onto US-2 East at Exit 194 towards Wenatchee. Continue on US-2 for about 50 miles until you reach the town of Sultan. At Sultan, turn left onto WA-203 North. Follow WA-203 until it merges with WA-92 and then continue north, which will become Mountain Loop Highway. Follow this road to the Big Four Ice Caves Trailhead, which is located approximately 17 miles down Mountain Loop Highway. There is a parking area at the trailhead, where you can leave your vehicle. Note that there may be a small parking fee or a Northwest Forest Pass required.

Public Transportation
Take a bus from Seattle to Everett via Sound Transit or Community Transit. From Everett, transfer to the Community Transit Route 201, heading towards Granite Falls. Get off at the stop closest to Mountain Loop Highway. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Big Four Ice Caves Trailhead, as public transportation does not go directly to the trailhead. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited.

Once you arrive at the Big Four Ice Caves Trailhead, you will find a clearly marked trail leading to the ice caves. The trail is approximately 1.5 miles one way and is relatively easy to moderate in difficulty. Always stay on designated trails and be cautious of ice fall hazards when near the caves.
