    From Renton, take King County Metro Bus Route 169 towards North Bend. Board the bus at the Renton Transit Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 20-30 minutes until you reach the stop at SE North Bend Way & 436th Ave SE. From there, walk east on SE North Bend Way for about 1 mile, then turn left onto SE Lake Dorothy Rd, and continue straight until you reach the Mailbox Peak Trailhead.

    Bicycle

    If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bicycle in Renton. Start from downtown Renton and head east along the Cedar River Trail. Follow the trail until you reach SE 128th St, and then take a left. Continue onto SE North Bend Way and then turn left onto SE Lake Dorothy Rd. The Mailbox Peak Trailhead will be on your right.

Continue straight onto SE 128th St. Once you reach the intersection with 140th Ave SE, turn right and follow it until you reach SE North Bend Way. Turn left on SE North Bend Way and walk approximately 2.5 miles until you reach SE Lake Dorothy Rd, where you can turn right to reach the Mailbox Peak Trailhead.
