From the Fairmont city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the West Virginia Public Transit bus route that goes towards the Fairmont State University. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of State Park Rd and US-250. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles east along State Park Rd. You will see signs for Pricketts Fort State Park as you approach. The park entrance will be on your right.

Start from the center of the park and head northwest towards the intersection of 5th Street and State Park Rd. Continue on State Park Rd for about 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left.
