From the Fairmont city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the West Virginia Public Transit bus route that goes towards the Fairmont State University. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of State Park Rd and US-250. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles east along State Park Rd. You will see signs for Pricketts Fort State Park as you approach. The park entrance will be on your right.

If you are close to the Fairmont city park, you can walk directly to Pricketts Fort State Park. Start from the center of the park and head northwest towards the intersection of 5th Street and State Park Rd. Continue on State Park Rd for about 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left. Ensure to follow the pedestrian paths and cross safely at intersections.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Fairmont city center and head south on Fairmont Ave (US-250). After about a mile, turn left onto State Park Rd.
