From Spruce Knob, head east on County Route 28/3. Continue for about 12 miles until you reach the intersection with US-219. Turn left onto US-219 and follow it for approximately 8 miles. You will then turn right onto County Route 21/1 and continue for 4 miles. Finally, turn left onto Observatory Rd, and the Green Bank Observatory will be located at 155 Observatory Rd, Green Bank, WV 24915.

From Elkins, you would need to book a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Green Bank Observatory, which is approximately a 25-mile drive. For the adventurous, biking from Spruce Knob to Green Bank is an option. Starting on County Route 28/3, you will cycle east for about 12 miles to US-219. Turn left and continue for about 8 miles.
