Walking
Starting from the center of Sturgeon Bay, head northeast on Jefferson Street toward Maple Street. Continue straight for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with State Highway 57. Turn left onto State Highway 57 and follow it for approximately 12 miles. You will pass through scenic areas and small towns. After about 12 miles, look for signs for Baileys Harbor. Once you enter Baileys Harbor, continue on E Cana Island Rd for about 2 miles. The Cana Island Lighthouse will be on your right at 8800 E Cana Island Rd. Make sure to look for the parking area.

Biking
If you have a bike, start at the Sturgeon Bay waterfront area, heading east on the bike path towards the bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the bike path that leads to State Highway 57. Once you reach the highway, turn right and bike north for about 12 miles, enjoying the views along the way. When you reach Baileys Harbor, take a left onto E Cana Island Rd and continue for about 2 miles. The Cana Island Lighthouse will be on your right. There may be bike racks available for your convenience.
