Getting There

  • Bicycle

    From downtown Sturgeon Bay, start at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 3rd Avenue. Head east on Jefferson Street until you reach the intersection with N 4th Avenue. Turn left onto N 4th Avenue and continue until you reach the intersection with Clarks Lake Road. Turn right onto Clarks Lake Road. Continue on Clarks Lake Road for about 4 miles. Whitefish Dunes State Park will be on your left side at 3275 Clarks Lake Rd. Make sure to use a bike lane where available and wear a helmet for safety.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    Starting from the Sturgeon Bay Transit Center, take the bus route that goes towards the north. You will need to check the current schedule for the specific route that heads towards the Whitefish Dunes area. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the nearest stop to Clarks Lake Road. After getting off, walk approximately 0.5 miles south on Clarks Lake Road to reach the entrance of Whitefish Dunes State Park located at 3275 Clarks Lake Rd.
