Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Rock Springs Downtown area, specifically at the Rock Springs City Hall located at 212 D St, Rock Springs, WY 82901. From there, head east on D St toward S 2nd St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Wyoming Hwy 430 (also known as Foothill Blvd). Cross the highway and continue east until you reach the entrance to the Green River. This area is approximately 1 mile from City Hall, making it a pleasant walk. Once at the river, follow the banks north for about 1.5 miles, keeping an eye out for trails leading up into the hills until you reach the Acid Trip Tunnel, located near the base of the cliffs.

• Biking

  If you have a bicycle, start at the Rock Springs Library located at 400 C St, Rock Springs, WY 82901. From the library, head south on C St until you reach E St. Turn left on E St and continue until you reach the intersection with Wyoming Hwy 430 (Foothill Blvd). Turn right on Foothill Blvd and follow it for about 2 miles. As you approach the Green River, look for a bike path that leads toward the riverbanks. Follow this path north for about 1.5 miles until you arrive at the Acid Trip Tunnel.

• Public Transport

  Begin your journey at the Rock Springs Transit Center located at 1000 Elk St, Rock Springs, WY 82901. Take the local bus service that heads towards the Green River. Ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to the Green River. Upon disembarking, walk north along the riverbanks for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Acid Trip Tunnel. Ensure you check the bus schedules ahead of time for the best route.
