If you are starting from downtown Sheridan, head east on Main Street. Walk until you reach the intersection with Coffeen Avenue. Turn left (north) onto Coffeen Avenue and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. When you reach Clarendon Avenue, turn right (east). Trail End State Historic Site will be on your left at 400 Clarendon Ave.

For those who prefer biking, begin at the Sheridan County Courthouse. Head east on Alger Street and turn left onto Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach Coffeen Avenue. Take a left onto Coffeen Avenue and bike north for approximately 0.5 miles. When you reach Clarendon Avenue, take a right, and Trail End State Historic Site will be on your left at 400 Clarendon Ave.
