Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Aden and head towards the Crater district. Follow the main road that runs along the coast, known as Al-Mansura Street, until you reach the entrance of the Crater area. Look for signs directing you toward Seera Castle (قلعة صيرة). The journey should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get closer, you will see the castle on a hill overlooking the coast. There is limited parking available near the castle, so be prepared to walk a short distance to the entrance.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus or shared taxi from various points in Aden, especially from the city center. Look for buses heading towards Crater. Inform the driver that you want to go to Seera Castle. The fare should be around 100-200 Yemeni Rials. Once you arrive in Crater, you may need to walk the last part to the castle, which is about 15 minutes uphill from the bus stop. Ensure you visit the castle during its operating hours, which are from 6 AM to 6 PM daily.
Walking
If you're already in the Crater area and prefer to walk, navigate towards the coastline and head towards the hill where Seera Castle is located. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes uphill. Follow the main pathways, and look for signs indicating 'قلعة صيرة'. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven and steep in some areas.
Use Seera Castle as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
