Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car within Lusaka National Park, start from the main entrance of the park. Head southeast on the main road, following the signs for 'Chalala.' After approximately 10 kilometers, keep an eye out for the turn towards 'J86F+X4P, Chalala.' Turn left and continue for another 2 kilometers. You will see Buffaloes Park on your right. Parking is available on-site, and there is no cost for parking.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Buffaloes Park via public transport, first, take a minibus (commonly called a 'kombi') from Lusaka city center heading towards 'Chalala.' The fare is approximately 10 Zambian Kwacha. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the stop nearest to 'J86F+X4P, Chalala.' From there, you can either walk for about 1.5 kilometers along the main road or hire a local taxi for a short ride to Buffaloes Park. The taxi fare should be around 20 Zambian Kwacha.

    If you are already inside Lusaka National Park and wish to walk to Buffaloes Park, head east from the main lodge area, following the footpaths marked for visitors.
