Walking
If you are starting from the center of Solwezi, head south on the main road, which is the Great North Road. Walk past the Solwezi Market and continue straight. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the junction with the road leading to the local hospital. Turn left here and continue straight for another 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and residential areas. Keep an eye out for signs that indicate Fish Ponds; the area is known for its lush greenery. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Fish Ponds, which will be on your right.

Bicycle
From the city center, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start by cycling south on the Great North Road. After passing the Solwezi Market, continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road to the local hospital. Turn left at this junction and ride straight for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs for Fish Ponds and the surrounding nature. The journey should take about 20 minutes depending on your cycling speed and the local traffic.

Public Transport
Look for a local minibus or ‘boda-boda’ (motorcycle taxi) heading towards the local hospital. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you want to get off near the hospital. Once you arrive at the hospital junction, disembark and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. As you walk, keep an eye for signposts leading to Fish Ponds. The total journey should take approximately 30 minutes, including the time spent waiting for the minibus.
