From the center of Hwange town, head south on Main Street towards the Hwange National Park entrance. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Dete Road (A8). Turn right onto Dete Road, and follow it for approximately 12 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and lodges along the way. After about 12 kilometers, look for signs indicating the direction towards Gulalembila Dam. Turn left onto a dirt road, and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach Gulalembila Dam.

Starting from Hwange, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Begin your journey by cycling down Main Street towards the Hwange National Park entrance. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach Dete Road (A8). At the junction, turn right onto Dete Road and cycle for about 12 kilometers. Stay alert for signs pointing towards Gulalembila Dam, which will be on your left after you’ve traveled 12 kilometers. Take the left turn onto the dirt road and cycle approximately 1 kilometer to reach the dam.
