Walking
From the center of Hwange town, head north on Main Street. Walk for about 1 km until you reach the Hwange National Park entrance. This is a popular starting point for many tourists. After entering the park, follow the signs towards the Nehimba Lodge which is approximately 50 km from the entrance. Given that you are not traveling by car, it's advisable to arrange for a park ranger or guide who can escort you to the lodge. Ensure to confirm your arrival time with the lodge beforehand.
Bicycle
Start from Hwange town and rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head north on Main Street for about 1 km to the Hwange National Park entrance. Once inside the park, follow the marked road towards Nehimba Lodge, which is about 50 km away. Biking through the park allows you to experience the wildlife up close, but ensure you have enough water and snacks for the journey, as well as a map of the park trails.
Public Transport
In Hwange, you can catch a shared taxi or minibus heading towards the Hwange National Park entrance. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Nehimba Lodge. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to arrange for a private transfer or a guided tour to take you to the lodge, as it is not accessible directly by public transport.
