Walking
From the center of Mutare, start at the main bus terminal (Mutare Bus Terminus). Head west on Herbert Chitepo Street towards the intersection with Second Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the main road (A2). Cross over to the other side of the road, then head south. You will pass several shops and local eateries. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Airport Road. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers. You will eventually see signs directing you towards Cross Kopje. The final stretch requires a short uphill walk. Look for a clear path leading to the viewpoint.
Public Transport (Microbus)
From the center of Mutare, make your way to the main bus terminal. Look for a microbus heading towards Sakubva. Board the microbus and inform the conductor you want to get off at Cross Kopje. The fare is usually small, around 1-2 Zimbabwean dollars. The microbus will drop you off near the foot of Cross Kopje. From there, you will need to walk uphill for about 15-20 minutes. Follow the well-trodden path, and keep an eye out for locals who can guide you if needed.
