Public Transport - Minibus Taxi
From the Mutare City Centre, head to the main bus station known locally as 'Mutare Rank'. Look for a minibus heading towards Watsomba or any that indicate they are going towards the Vumba Mountains. The fare is typically around $1-2. Inform the conductor that you intend to go to 'Seldomseen Holiday Cottages' or simply ask for directions to 'Vumba'. Get off at the junction where the road forks towards Vumba.
Walking
After you get off the minibus, you will find yourself at a fork in the road. Take the left fork heading uphill. Continue along this road for about 1 km until you reach a signpost indicating 'Seldomseen Holiday Cottages'. Follow the sign, and you will find the cottages nestled about 300 meters off the main road along a small footpath.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Mutare. After renting, head towards the main road that leads to Vumba. Cycle along the main road for approximately 5 km until you reach the fork. Take the left fork and continue as previously described for walking.
