    We were really impressed with the tour of the Cutty Sark itself and had a great afternoon tea afterwards. I’ve walked past it many times but this was the first time to go aboard! It’s especially impressive when you realise how much of the ship is still the original clipper. There is a good amount of interactive exhibits and plenty to read and learn about. The full visit takes 1-1.5 hours, which falls into a nice spot of not being too long but long enough to feel like it’s good value. We particularly enjoyed walking around on the deck and exploring the crew quarters. And a good photo opportunity at the captain’s wheel. The afternoon tea was very nice, featuring a selection of sandwiches (mackerel, cheese and cucumber, ham and cheddar and egg mayo), a homemade scone with jam and clotted cream and a good selection of cakes. Overall we were very pleased with our visit and it made for a good birthday present!

    We enjoyed having delicious sandwiches and cakes under the hill of the cutty sark. Touring the levels of the ship was interesting

    Take tea service under the keel of the cutty sark, the ship was fascinating. The tea service was very good .

    The Cutty Sark exhibit was amazing . The tea party was just so so. Nothing special about any of the foods. My husband really enjoyed everything about the ship!

    The waitress was the redeeming feature and ever so polite. Such a shame that when my wife asked for an additional teabag she was told she’d have to pay for it. Some of the cakes were stale too.

If you have booked the 3pm serving time, please aim to visit the ship before your tea, as we recommend you allow at least 60 minutes to enjoy Cutty Sark.
