    Must see, when you visit New Caledonia. Amazingly beautiful sight, top view from the lighttower and a lot of snakes and turtles to be found on the island.

    I booked the Mary D day tour to Amedee Lighthouse/Island. The tour included pick up and drop off from our hotel, boat to the island, lunch, traditional dance performance during lunch and a 30 minute glass bottom boat tour. Overall the tour was very well organised, the lunch had a range of options, and the island itself was breath taking, absolutely stunning. The crew were very helpful and friendly, and the boat is great you can choose to sit inside or upstairs, we sat inside as it was a windy day. You can also purchase coffee and drinks on board for a reasonable price. We got to see about four turtles on the boat tour, and a lot of fish whilst we were swimming and during the tour over the reef. The day tour gives you most of the day on the island so you swim and relax on the beach. Mary D provides beach chairs to sit on. The only thing to be aware of is there are a large number of sea snakes on the island which are poisonous but we weren't aware of them until we had a snake swim past us and my daughter almost stood on one on the beach as she didn't see it. Staff tried to reassure us that the snakes don't bite if you leave the snakes alone and don't touch them. It would be good to be made aware of them before arriving at the island so you can be careful when swimming and walking around.

    Outstanding. One of the best snorkeling trips I have ever done. Very safe for young children, but also options for the more experienced snorkeler. Highly recommend.

    Its a must do while you are in Noumea. So easy to see Turtles. I went in a tour and everything was well organized. water was warm. fishes all over.

    Brilliant day out , saw fish, turtles and coral. Mary D was packed but plenty of room on island. Got to go up lighthouse , brilliant view. The lunch provided was great, plenty to eat and very well organised. The crew put on a show and got people up to dance and have fun. We had great weather , no wind and the sun was out. Glass bottom was only 30 mins but we saw some big fish and coral , you won't see brilliant colours because a lot has been damaged because people snorkell around there. You can just relax on the beach, swim or snorkell , plenty of shade and sun lounges. We were lucky with the weather, made the day. The staff were great. Enjoy.
