    Being able to see coral beds and all the fish at varying deeps in the ocean. We went down and very close to the floor so we could see schools of fish. We spent time at about 35 ft and eventually went to 105 ft. I liked that the subs were made in Everett, Wa. They had a good air flow. Once you are under you don’t feel the waves like on the surface. Like floating

    Fun experience! We enjoyed it very much. Make sure you either take nausea meds, or do the one ear plug hack for sea sickness. It's a very bumpy trip, but worth going to. Geared towards kids, but a once in a lifetime experience.

    All of the staff was helpful and kind - in the gift shop, on the shuttle boat, and on the submarine. The guide on the submarine was funny and informative. This was a great time and I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone looking to have fun!

    Exceptional experience! Great guides, we learned a lot. Saw amazing sea life and a sunken ship and sail boat. Adults and college kids - everyone thoroughly enjoyed the 2PM tour on 8/6/24.

    Going under the sea to that depth to view the sea life was a fascinating experience but was surprised not to see more larger and colourful fish than in some more shallower coral reefs.

    An unforgettable 45-minute journey aboard an Atlantis 48-passenger submarine, as featured in National Geographic television specials, where guests explore a 25-acre natural coral reef and its marine inhabitants! Allow Atlantis Submarines to show you the other 96% of Kona you can't see any other way. Treat yourself to Kona's most beautiful and captivating scenery, habitats, and isolated treasures. You'll descend 100 feet into another version of paradise -- one hidden even from the people of Hawaii for centuries. Atlantis Submarines Kona offers a journey aboard a 48-passenger submarine. Guests will discover an 18,000-year-old, 25-acre fringing coral reef, which boasts a vibrant ecosystem. Passengers view coral formations and tropical fish.Headset providing narrations in Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and Spanish are available upon request at no additional cost. Our escorts will assist you to our shuttle vessel from our Atlantis office which will take you out to the submarine.
