Arch of Constantine

Join us to pick up your tickets 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time, next at the ARCH OF CONSTANTINE (the short side overlooking the colosseum-look for a BLACK FLAG), the largest triumphal arch ever built in Rome located between the Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. The arch was erected in 315 to commemorate Constantine, the first Christian emperor of the Roman history.

Colosseum

You will be added to a small group (max 30) with a privileged skip-the-line entrance and, after the entry procedures and the mandatory security checks, you will be free to explore the Colosseum by yourself. The Colosseum, the symbol of Ancient Rome, is the biggest Roman amphitheatre for gladiator games ever built, the most well-preserved one and one of the most visited monument in the world. Definitely a must see!

Palatine Hill

After the visit to the Colosseum, you will be escorted to the entrance of Palatine Hill/Roman Forum and you can explore both sites by yourself. According to the legend, the Palatine Hill is the place where Rome was founded by Romolus thousands of years ago. This green area is full of ancient temples and houses and it hosts the magnificent residences of the Roman emperors. It is a true open-air museum!

Roman Forum

After the visit to the Colosseum, The Roman Forum, the heart of the Roman Republic where all the public activities took place, is he most suggestive space from Roman times. A lot of temples, houses and other magnificent buildings like basilicas are still well-preserved and visible: enjoy to walk along Roman roads through their colums, like a true Roman citizen!

Great experience with skip the line. Finding the guide to get our pass was easy for a holiday day. Self guided tour gave us more time traveling with infant and 4 yr old and seniors. We went at our own pace and took neat pictures and videos which a guided tour guide wouldn't let you stay in a spot as long.

Not able to find the place to obtain the tickets. No one was able to direct us to the correct location

The ticket time was different to what was booked but apart from that a decent booking experience. The representative was in the location advised how ever more than one black flag to lookout for.

Had to wait 45 minutes for my ticket, which made me late for my skip the line time and nearly wasn't allowed in. They had some tickets printed and was texting pictures to other people Also overbooked so I didn't even get the full experience that I had booked and still waiting on an answer for when I willhe receiving my refund

Where do I begin on this horrendous tour. Wish I could give this tour 0 stars. It started when I was receiving transport through my cruise terminal to the Coliseum. I received a call stating that viator had to change or cancel my Coliseum tour because there was no name on the ticket. However, I don't understand how my funds were processed without a name on the ticket. The ticket process should have not gone through without my name. With Viator knowing how important your name is on a ticket. My tour was scheduled for 12 but the help desk reached out and said they could reschedule my tour time for 10:30 which actually worked out since I was near the Coliseum anyway. Upon arrival we were able to locate our guide. She asked for our name and to no surprise could not find our name. She then proceeds to have an ah ha moment and pulls out her phone and says you are our "special circumstance ". She then asks me for my phone number and texts me 2 tickets. I open the tickets and it's clearly not my ticket. The ticket was for TWO MEN who were of Asian decent (given the last names) who's names were not even remotely close to my WIFE and I's name. Nor was the ticket even in english. I state to the guide that she sent the wrong ticket she goes I know. She said," if you want access you have to use these tickets, there's going to be 3 security checkpoints where they are going to check your passports and match the name to the ticket... if they question you just keep walking and if they kick you out then you won't be able to see the Coliseum. So let me clarify you want me to act like someone else, use their tickets (which they are going to be upset because they might show up too) and you want me to bypass 3 stages of security. I say, what if we don't make it?" She states, " well maybe we can work out a refund" Ultimately, our day was ruined we couldn't even enjoy the day from an anxiety driven tour. We would have liked to upgrade and see underneath the Coliseum but we couldn't even do that because the ticket wasn't ours. It's disappointing because it's already hard enough travel across the world and you want a company like Viator to ease at least one part of your trip. A once in a lifetime opportunity missed and I apologize to the 2 guys Viator scammed out of a ticket.

The organisation of the ticket pick up was horrendous. We were not on the list to receive our tickets we were told we could change our tickets to a different day or have a refund which wasn't acceptable as we had travelled to Rome specifically for this experience & we were flying home that afternoon. Several people were in the same position it was utter chaos. We arrived in good time to pick up the tickets & the situation took two & a half hours to resolve. I was given the number of the manager of the company, she wasn't answering. At one point we were WhatsApped somebody else's tickets and we were removed by the police at the entrance as our passports and ticket names did not match. We had been given 3 tickets of another family who would also have been left with no tickets we needed only two. Eventually after alot of stress and my persistence to have it sorted as the girls were constantly fobing us off we got our tickets. The attraction was fantastic the organisation of the company we bought our tickets from was totally unacceptable.

We booked tickets for 12:00, but the seller overbooked spots and moved our time to 16:00. The pick up location for the tickets was not very well marked. The workers were very nice, but the event only includes entrance tickets and does not include any audio or information for a self guided tour.

Nothing much worth seeing inside the Colosseum. Info on how to visit the Roman Forum 7 palatine Hill would have been helpful. We saw the Roman Forum first & exited. We tried to get back in to see Palatine Hill & the ticket person said we were already in there. I explained we visited the Roman Forum & did not know that Palatine Hill was the same entry point. Fortunately, she let us in but she was not nice about it. Also we wasted a lot of time & walking since we did not know to visit Palatine Hill first. The signs that are posted in each site are not accurate regarding the exit.

The view of the coliseum on the outside was amazing. However we weren’t able to experience the inside of it as we found out on the day when we went to collect our tickets by the tour operator they had cancelled our booking for no reason given a couple of days before. This did spoil our trip as this was an experience we were really looking forward to doing but were unable to do.

Tickets are advertised as 'skip the line' tickets but this is incorrectly advertised - you still have to stand in line to enter the Colosseum and palatine hill & Roman Forum - line for Palatine Hill & Roman Forum was especially long and unskipable. Would recommend just purchasing tickets directly through the official Colosseum website as we paid additional fees and received no benefits or services, or through another company. We also were told to be there 15 mins early. They had trouble and were unable to find either ticket for ourselves, and when they did, they had only sent one through. After 30 mins, we eventually were able to get through, after much unneeded stress and time-consuming waiting.
