What to expect
Sydney Harbour Bridge
Take a scenic ferry ride upon conclusion of the Blue Mountains tour and see the Sydney Harbour Bridge up close from the water.
Sydney Zoo
OPTIONAL: Visit the Australian animal area to hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, optional photo encounter with a koala, plus see a giant crocodile, Tasmanian devil, dingoes and wombats and walk through Australia's largest nocturnal exhibit to see the animals that are out and about at night.
Charles Darwin walk
OPTIONAL: Tread in Charles Darwin's footsteps when he visited in 1836 along a trickling creek amongst native banksia, wattle and tree ferns, making the area famous.
Wentworth Falls Lookout
Incredible canyon views, waterfall pictures and cliff edge hikes. There are a few walks to choose from that go down to or overlook the Wentworth Falls or Empress Falls at the Valley of the Waters which is a harder walk. Depending on our time and fitness levels I will recommend this walk or some easier walks in the surrounding area.
Leura
Time depending peruse boutique stores, homewares and a family owned hand-made chocolate store. We will definitely drive slowly down the main street of this quaint village.
Echo Point Lookout
See the inspiring Three Sisters sitting out there all by themselves.
The Giant Stairway
Not for the faint hearted. Descend steep steps onto the first of the Three Sisters rock outcrops for an exhilarating experience. Optional and time depending.
The Three Sisters
The most photographed landscape of the Blue Mountains.
Scenic World
OPTIONAL: Ride the word's steepest train and two gondola cable car's over the Jamison Valley. Walk through an ancient rainforest around an old coal mine. Great family fun.
Narrow Neck Lookout
Interesting perspective of Mt Solitary and see the location of a 1920's landslide. Look into the Megalong Valley from here as well.
Cahill's Lookout
Short easy walk down to a point that overhangs the Megalong Valley and Boar's Head - an interesting shaped natural pillar. DIstant views of a couple of wineries and the Jenolan Karst Nature Reserve.
Katoomba Falls
Take even concreted steps down to pretty Katoomba Cascades and continue on through a tree fern grove to the tumbling Katoomba Falls. Spectacular viewing 200 metres above the canyon floor.
Wentworth Falls Lake
A local hangout on weekends of this pretty high altitude lake. Feed the ducks, eastern Swamphens and Eurasian coots.
Lennox Bridge
An optional detour to Australia's oldest mainland bridge that was built by convicts. Time depending on our drive back towards Sydney.
