Gyodong Daeryong Market
Old-fashioned traditional market which is created after Korean War, replicating Yeonbak Market in the hometown to help the displaced people make a living. Tea cafes, tailors, drugstores, barbers, etc.
The observatory is the place where is the most visible the North Korean territory so we can even see the North Korean life in there. Currently, the place is considered as a cultural tourist spot for peaceful reunification establishment of foundation. Extensive mud flat of the west coast and the tranquil North Korean territory across from the observatory make you feel peace and relax.
Joyang Textile
The café was the first Korean textile factory and reborn into the complex cultural space. The old building was abandoned for a long time and finally changed into a beautiful café which is combined old style with modern interior. Tourists can feel Korean culture and history through the various reminiscence things like old bicycle, sewing machine and signboard. So, they can enjoy drinking coffee while looking around the beautiful interior and talking memorable pictures.
Sochang Cheheomgwan
Sochang Experience Center Sochang refers to the natural fabric that was used to make a baby diaper in the past. From the past, Ganghwado Island had been influenced by the North Korea Gaesung and the sochang industry had been blossoming. You can learn about sochang and make it at the Sochang Experience Center. You can also enjoy making Hwamunsuk mat and a specialty tea.
