What to expect
A Brasileira
This tour is a unique way to discover Lisbon through the flavors and history of its restaurants, cafes, small taverns, and grocery stores. We'll give voice to chefs, grocers, cooks, true experts of well-serving food art. We'll keep in mind the main aspects of the Mediterranean diet, now listed as a UNESCO heritage: fresh, local and seasonal produce, olive oil as the main fat for cooking; coexistence among the people at the table. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to go where Portuguese usually eat and you will taste several types of food and drink. We will stop at several traditional and modern spaces.
Bairro Alto
We start in a former convent, now a brewery, tasting "ovas" (fish roe), octopus salad, cod with corn, lupins, and beer.
Simpli Coffee Chiado
We'll continue in the café of José Avillez, the first Portuguese to receive one of the most prestigious awards in the world of gastronomy. Here we will enjoy the delicious portuguesinha with a glass of wine.
Lisbon
Taste codfish cake and "Bifana" with a beer surrounded by locals.
Moorish Quarter
We'll finish the tour with a traditional sweet, a tasty coffee and a toast of Ginjinha in a popular Mouraria tavern. Enjoy! ;)
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
