Yoruk Koyu
Yörük Village, right next to Safranbolu, is a charming village filled with historical Ottoman mansions as if it were a blessing. This village, also called tiny Safranbolu, is a center of attraction for travelers with its narrow streets, courtyards hidden behind wooden fences and mansions with bay windows. Thanks to all these features, Safranbolu Yörük Village, which was declared as a protected area in 1997 and accepted as one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey, got its name from the Yörük Turkmens, who settled in this region many years ago, as you can imagine.
After serving as the Commander of the Eastern Provinces Construction Army during the reign of Roman Emperor T. Germanious Claudius, Gaius Julius Aguilla, who was appointed as the Governor of Bithynia -Pontus for life, It was built in 41-54 years. This monument, which is a part of the Roman road network and was built in memory of the Emperor; It includes two inscriptions, sitting ottomans and rock niches, which complement each other with the King statue carved into the rocks with the dough relief technique and the Roman Domination Eagle.
Bulak Cave
The entrance of the Bulak (Mencilis) Cave, which is located within the borders of Karabük Central Bulak Village and also bordered with the Safranbolu District, is on steep rocks and the length of the cave is 6.5 kilometers. 2.5 kilometers of the cave has been mapped, and the 380-meter section has been opened to tourism by electrification and a walking track. It is still a hydrologically active cave. Underground rivers, ponds, waterfalls, interesting and extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite formations and registered as "Natural Assets" attract the attention of researchers and visitors.
