    We really enjoyed this tour…Captain Pete was very knowledgeable and thorough, we especially appreciated he told us all his certifications and went through a safety checklist. He provided us with cold bottled water which was a plus. Our only complaint is there was the step up to get off the boat was more like 2, and we had 2 passengers that had a difficult time with it. A stepstool would have been really helpful.

    Daufuskie Island was amazing, wonderful tour guide Pete - it couldn’t have been any better! We also enjoyed the boat ride over and we saw dolphins to Daufuskie! Loved it!

    The history of Daufuskie was interesting. Can’t imagine why in today’s world anyone would want to live there full time. Liked seeing where Pat Conroy taught. I know the trip was just the old part of the island but would have liked to see more. Wanted to meet Gullah natives, but didn’t see any natives.

    Excellent. Capt Pete is wonderful. A lot of information in that man. Great boat ride. Great tour of island. Highly recommend.

    What a great tour. Boat ride was fabulous and learning all about our neighboring island was exciting. Definitely recommend this over getting your own golf cart and going around the island alone.

    Daufuskie Island

    It begins with a boat ride from Shelter Cove Marina to the back side of Daufuskie Island. The ride is an important part of the tour! Along the way we will stop for dolphins and other wildlife, plus view and discuss the sites on Daufuskie and the neighboring islands that are best seen from the water. Once on Daufuskie, you'll get on golf carts and take a tour of the historic, undeveloped side of the island. We stop at all of the significant historic sites and artisan shops of Daufuskie.
