Pompeii Archaeological Park

Pompeii (/pɒmˈpeɪi/) was an ancient Roman city near modern Naples in the Campania region of Italy, in the territory of the comune of Pompei. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area (e.g. at Boscoreale, Stabiae), was buried under 4 to 6 m (13 to 20 ft) of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Many of the inhabitants were also buried before they could escape.

Pietro was wonderful. Pompeii was incredible and Piero did a great job driving down the Amalfi coast. Amalfi coast was beautiful. The trip was amazing and so much beauty in the country.

Absolutely amazing. Our wonderful driver Fabio, met us first thing in the morning with a smile. Fabio was funny, kind and became family by the end of our trip. Fabio made sure at every stop all our needs were met and we were safe. We stopped at Pompeii where he left us with a knowledge tour guide who was very informative. We then drove and saw amazing views in sorrento. Fabio knew exactly what we wanted and took us straight to get limoncello. His joy and zest for the area kept us lively despite the long hours in the car. This was the best tour of our trip. After Fabio recommended a great meal for us to enjoy in Positano. It was my son’s favorite seafood restaurant in all of Italy. We had best time. Thank you!

We had Fabio, AMAZING driver that took us around. Everything was great. At Pompeii since we have only 2 hours there I recommend taking a ticket and stroll around yourself. We took a guide (so more expensive) and he only took us to the central part…he spoke too much with some stories that were not necessary. My view.

Tour guide Marisa and driver Julius were magnificent. We were missing 2 Japanese passengers and it was late, they searched Pompei until they were found. Despite the anxiety & heavy traffic - they brought us back to Rome safely. Great trip.

The pick-up and driver were fine. The issue is with the tour itself. This tour should not be offered by any tour agency. Pompeii is fine as a day tour from Rome. Positano & Amalfi coast is not. It is too far with too much drive time. If you want to visit the Amalfi coast, do it as a 1 or 2 night side trip.

This is NOT a tour. I highly discorage anyone from purchasing this “tour”. This is more of a crappy taxi ride with a driver who doesn’t speak English for 13 hrs. All communication with the driver was through Google translate. This was not noted nor explained anywhere in the ad and I feel it was very misleading. They drop you off to stand in all the ticket lines and tell you to meet them at then end of the whatever ticket you buy. It’s not private in any way. Even if you “prepuchase” tickets at a super inflated rate you still have to stand in line for the driver to get the tickets when you arrive. I emailed the operator and they didn’t offer any consolation. Avoid this “tour” at all costs. It just sucks.

Our driver Piero was the best. He made the day enjoyable. There was nothing too much trouble for him. He looked after us from start to finish. Pompeii was spectacular. Absolutely loved Positano. Definitely a must trip. It’s a long day but well worth it.

Not worth the money...dorced too eat cold pizza (on the bus if you couldn't finish in time) & stopped same expensive rest stop. Had to buy, again, an expensive sandwich which was skimpy. The guide told us nothing on the trip down. Guide at Pompeii qas knowledge but accent very think and hare to understand. Dont use this company!!!

Fabio was a terrific driver/ guide. Laura was very knowledgeable and fun during the Pompeii tour. Fabio stopped along the coast and took plenty of pictures of us. He made reservations for us at the perfect restaurant!
