Gas Works Park
A beautiful park on Lake Union on the site of a former gasification plant. We will have the opportunity to stroll at this scenic viewpoint and explore the remains of the former plant. This is a nice location to witness the sea planes landing on Lake Union.
Fremont
We will see two unique statues in the Fremont neighborhood. These statues have long contributed to the quirky character of Fremont. Fremont is arguably the most eclectic neighborhood of Seattle and this is demonstrated by the thriving arts scene.
Ballard Locks Visitor Center / Museum & Gift Shop
We will visit the busiest locks in the United States. Here is a great site to absorb the maritime industry of Seattle. There is a fish a ladder to witness the salmon making their journey. There is also some memorable vantage points to witness the ships passing through.
Discovery Park
We will venture into the largest city park in Seattle. From this park we can get great views of the Puget Sound and West Point Lighthouse. This is a great place to experience forest in the city. Discovery Park has over 500 acres of lush urban respite.
