We were lucky enough to have a picture perfect sun shine day for our trip to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. The views were amazing! Being a small vehicle made it easier for our driver Francesco to stop often for photos. He also kindly took photos of my family and arranged a booking for our lunch which was delicious and prompt. Francesco was an excellent driver in the mayhem of traffic. It was a fantastic day.

Per il 1 giugno gli amici con cui viaggiavo per la Campania avevano programmato un'uscita in barca lungo la Costiera amalfitana. Alloggiando a Napoli, però, non sapevamo bene come raggiungere la meta e mi sono dunque rivolta ad Askos Tours con cui, per i due giorni precedenti, avevamo già fissato dei tour guidati.
Quanto mi hanno proposto per raggiungere Praiano, da dove partiva la barca, non si può nemmeno definire un semplice "transfer" (e fra l'altro, decisamente economico se confrontato con altri!). E' stato piuttosto un vero e proprio viaggio fra le persone, le leggende e i racconti delle terre che abbiamo attraversato per raggiungere la nostra meta e, la sera, rientrare.
La nostra guida, Francesco, è stata di una gentilezza indescrivibile fin dal primo momento e ci ha anche accompagnato brevemente a Positano (sosta non prevista originariamente, ma che abbiamo domandato di poter fare, nonostante l'orario già tardo). Con il suo entusiasmo e la sua energia ha allietato due ore di viaggio che potevano altrimenti essere pesantissime, rispondendo a tutte le nostre curiosità e indicandoci luoghi di cui non ci saremmo neanche mai accorti se non fosse stato per lui.
La bravura di Francesco, però, non si è fermata a questo. Ci tengo ad evidenziarlo per quanti, come me e alcuni del mio gruppo, soffrono in maniera terribile di mal d'auto e temono di fare in macchina la Costiera Amalfitana: mai, nemmeno per un attimo, la sua guida ha avuto esitazioni o sobbalzi che potessero infastidirci fisicamente. Il viaggio è andato "liscio come l'olio" ed è stato quasi più piacevole del giro in barca stesso.
E' raro conoscere persone che non solamente ti fanno sentire dei "signori", ma lo fanno con cuore e gentilezza! 1000 punti a Francesco, a tutto il team di Askos Tours e a quanto organizzano in maniera così impeccabile e sempre perfettamente sicura!

Il 24 agosto 2020 con la mia famiglia abbiamo effettuato il tour della costiera amalfitana.
È stata una giornata magnifica, abbiamo visitato tutto ciò che volevamo, complimenti.
Ma una menzione particolare va al sig. Francesco, non solo driver, ma profondo conoscitore dei luoghi che via via si visitavano. Ma non si fermava qui, lungo tutto il tour della costiera ci forniva spiegazioni storiche sulle varie vicissitudini dei luoghi, oltre a raccontare le varie epoche geofisiche del territorio, della sua trasformazione. A tutto ciò si è unita una estrema simpatia, accortezze nei nostri confronti, come il farci scendere il più vicino al centro dei luoghi visitati, la premura di venirci incontro con l’ombrello quando ha piovuto per 10 minuti. Si è fermato più volte lungo la strada, ove possibile, per permetterci di scattare foto dai posti più strategici.
Insomma, complimenti a voi per avere nella vostra squadra una persona così. Il vostro nome, già ottimo, non può che beneficiarne.
