    An exceptionally interesting tour of the Chiado. Our guide Nuno provided us with a wide range of detailed information on the history and culture of this district of Lisbon in an engaging and stimulating way. The walking route that he had selected was also outstanding, including both panoramic views of the city and an introduction to less well-known back streets of the city - highly recommended.

    El tour con Cecilia fue entretenido, nos explicaba todo muy bien se le notaba que conoce la ciudad, que le gusta la ciudad y su trabajo, la duración es la correcta. El único inconveniente es es que éramos un grupo muy grande 40 personas y así no es lo más cómodo ni práctica ni para la guía ni para nosotros máximo en verano que la ciudad está llena de gente. Seguro que haremos más tours.

Shoppers flock here for the chic boutiques, while artists and poets come to wander the district or sip coffee on its terraces. Nearly wiped out by a massive fire in 1988, Chiado has since risen from the ashes to become one of the most bustling, cosmopolitan areas in the city. Peer inside fashionable shops and trendy cafes, and see the ruins of the romantic Carmo Church (Igreja do Carmo). Visit the Bica neighborhood, located along a steep hillside. See the network of steep streets and stairs built to adapt to the slope, which contribute to the neighborhood’s distinctive personality. Your guide will be happy to answer questions about this elegant enclave’s past and present. Conclude your tour with a stroll through Barrio Alto, known for its plethora of bars.
