We went up to Monte in our tuktuk and would highly recommend this way to get to the toboggans. Our driver Joan was excellent - friendly and very knowledgeable. He collected us promptly from our hotel and even waited in the toboggan queue for us to allow us to visit the church while we waited. He met us at the end of the run and took us back to Funchal where he recommended some bars and restaurants. Thank you Joan!

This was a great experience and one I highly recommend! We were met at our cruise ship and driven around some of the most beautiful places I have seen. Our driver/guide (Wilson) was friendly and very knowledgeable about his city.
I'm sure we got to see parts in Funchal that you can't see from a bus or a car given how narrow the streets are.
If I go back to Funchal, I'll be sure to book with them again to see the eastern part of the city.

Our tour of Monte and the downtown area of Funchal was amazing! Joao is a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. Monte is absolutely stunning. We chose not to take the toboggan and instead spent more time visiting the gardens as it is so breathtaking and peaceful.

We received ppenty of suggestions and insights in the layout of the city. The driver was flexible as we had to end our tour 30 min earlier. Despite that, we still made the most out of it.
