    Both castles are stunning and we had ample time to explore them inside and out. Valeria was a fantastic guide, telling us the stories of the castles and answering questions about life in Paris during the drives. She took lots of photos of us and knew all the best spot for our own photographs. I had a great time, definitely a great value and wonderful memories!

    Our tour guide, Ollie, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable about French history, and history in general. He seemed passionate about the subject matter. Most importantly, he was kind and considerate of each individual in the group. Fountainbleu and Vaux Le Vicomte were wonderful sights to explore! Thanks for the experience.!

    Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte

    Vaux-le-Vicomte was built for Nicolas Fouquet, Minister of Finance, of King Louis XIV. Fouquet united the most talented French architect, artist, and gardener of his day in order to create the most splendid castle and gardens in France. This dream team consisted of the renowned architect: Louis Le Vau, the artist and interior designer: Charles Le Brun, and the the father of the French garden: André Le Nôtre. Vaux-le-Vicomte is so lovely that the TV series Versailles if filmed there!
