    We had a really good time on this food and culture tour! Definitely come hungry, because we started off with a full meal of fish and meat. I felt like I really learned a lot about the city that I otherwise would not have. There were about 12 people in our group - both English and French speaking. Our tour guide was fluent in both and did a great job explaining everything. We went on an extremely hot day (which was no fault to the tour) and my only wish was that we would have been able to do the earlier tour time when it was a little cooler outside.

    Great ! Good and very informative guide (Anna). We had the tour at 5 pm, we recommend moving the starting time to 7 pm because of the restaurants only open at 7 p.m. We startet with fruit, cookies, sweets, chokolade, and ended up with normal food at last. We would prefer it the other way round. Another thing is that we missed some water or drinks until we got to the restaurant. We had one lovely drink in the end.

    HIGHLY recommend this tour! Carla was an awesome guide and she really got the group feeling comfortable, so much that we all hung out after for a few hours having poncha. Don’t eat too much before the tour because it’s A LOT of food but so delish. You really get to taste everything Portugal is known for.

    This walking tour was amazing! They aren’t kidding when they say bring your appetite! You learn a lot of the history while walking from eatery to eatery. I would definitely recommend this tour to any foodies and people who really want to sample the best that Madeira has to offer! Don’t eat for a few hours before your tour, at least. 😋

    A wonderful experience capturing the spirit of this lovely island. Our guide Anna was brilliant, pacing the walking, information and eating/drinking perfectly. She presented the information beautifully with lots of facts and humour to make it very relaxing. One of the best trips ever!
