Exploring the Dolomites, one-day trekking in the mountains

Elisa was an attentive hostess... allowing us the time to either speed up or slow down. Her knowledge of the region was top notch... pointing out every mountain peak by name and trail by its direction. We had our lunch at the lake at Mondeval region (Passo Giau start). Crowded area near the restaurant but we took the A1 route/436 for several miles. Rocky and lots of elevation changes but the most spectacular views!!! Thank you for your guidance... :)

We did two hikes with Elisa and the experience was amazing! Elisa is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and looks out for us. She's also a good photographer. We are happy we found her and booked her for our short trip there. She fetched us to and fro from our accommodation and provided crampons which we appreciated very much. I recommend greatly to book a hiking experience with Elisa. My (now) fiancee and I are avid hikers but I was a bit overwhelmed with the options of hikes offered at Dolomites. And since this is our first time hiking in an area we are unfamiliar with, we decided to get a hiking guide. Elisa has been extremely friendly, flexible, communicative & transparent from the beginning. We left it to her to pick a hike for us after giving her some details of what we wanted - a long hike about an average of 10 miles with beautiful views. And our fitness level was able to handle hikes of moderate-challenging but not too much. We also wanted a hike that was away from all the tourists known hikes and more. We left it to her to pick the perfect hike for us based on our needs & we went in totally blind and it was the best part of our trip in Italy. First, Elisa does offer to pick you up with her car if you do not have a ride but we already did. The night prior, she gave us a meeting point to meet up and the time. When we did meet, I already had hiking poles but my fiancee didn't - so she offered him a pair of poles that he used. And if you don't have hiking poles and you're going to trek for a bit, definitely either bring hiking poles or take her offer of using it. They helped us greatly. Not only was the hike itself was beautiful in every mile of the way (average of 12 miles completed) but it was practically private for us 80% of the time. We did not see other people until the last few miles of our hike and it was only a small handful. We were given the option to of a 1.5-2 hour detour to summit and we immediately said yes. And not only we had that summit to ourselves, but we got engaged on that summit! Elisa recorded the whole thing for us and it is a memory that we are truly treasuring. She took some beautiful pictures of us too throughout the hike and was very patient when I needed some breaks navigating through all the inclines. We have already planned to pick 3 or 4 of the photos that she has taken of us and have it printed on canvases so we can hang it around the house. We cannot recommend her enough. When we are back, we'll definitely be reaching out to her again. She made the hike very personal and private for us and it was such a special moment for us. Hiking the Dolomites and being engaged at the summit was a dream come true but better & we would not have such a private, personable and amazing experience if it was not for her guide and expertise. Thank you again Elisa! Hoping to reconnect with you soon once we are back and thank you for capturing our engagement. So do not hesitate and just book with her. You will be in great hands. The value of what we got was beyond more than we expected and we expected a lot. She will take you to hikes that are probably not well known on social media if you ask for it and it will be 110% worth it.

Our guide was awesome. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the entire region and was spot on with customizing the hike according to our ability. I would say we even pushed a little bit considering how we felt the next day, but at the time, it was just right. Options to vary during the hike were greatly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend anyone of any experience level to book with her! Weather permitting, you won't be disappointed.
