We are located conveniently along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail on the west side of Seneca Lake at 590 NY 14, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Black Squirrel Farms is the first licensed black walnut processing facility in New York State. On our guided tour, you will hear the story of a native walnut tree that doesn’t grow in the woods and how this unusual species fits into the regional landscape. Come consider the black walnut tree from a whole new perspective, learn about the history of black walnut processing, see our own approach, and crack and taste them yourself! Experience how we are making this unique North American renewable resource more accessible, useful, and appreciated.
