Climbing the dome was a spectacular thrill. The Viator guide was excellent. The David left me speechless.

Marco was an awesome guide whose background on Florence, the Medici family, and Michelangelo brought the Renaissance to life, tied a ton of disparate historical story lines together, and made our tour enjoyable and educational while keeping it fun. The walk up the Dumo takes a while but well worth the journey to experience terrific views and more history!

Our guide was absolutely excellent! He was very informative and thorough. We were able to see David by Michelangelo at the Accademia museum, walk inside the Duomo and do the 463 step climb to the top of the dome for a MAGNIFICENT view of Florence. Like others have said in previous reviews, we were given an option to come back and do a more thorough tour of the Accademia, the bell tower, baptistery and museum. This was a 230 tour so I don’t know if that played into it. The church announced they were closing as we finished our visit here.

We had an excellent guide who was interesting, informative and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. It was definitely value for money as it included so many different areas.

I thought the tour guide was excellent but I think the description of the tour via Viator needs to be more explicit. I thought we would be guided throughout the museum, into the church and baptistery. Also I didn’t realize we would have a 3 day pass to visit other museum on our own so I didn’t schedule the time to take advantage of this. The climb is totally worth it as is the visit to the accademia. Our guide was very knowledgeable and help navigate the crowds. I would recommend this be a group of 12 or less. Too crowded in the streets and museums therefore easy to lose your guide.

Walking to the top of the Duomo was a highlight of our Italian honeymoon! It’s a lot of steps so not for light of heart but the view of top is literally unbeatable. Our tour guide, Simone, was AMAZING. It was raining unfortunately and the line to the museum got so backed up we missed our original time - she fought for us with the company and museum and managed to get us all in just a little later in the day taking her own time to stay with us, PLUS she’s incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! You could spend hours at these places due to the amount to learn, so I highly recommend a tour with a guide like this to see the highlights!

Carrie_G

Great information and guide. She gave us just the right amount of info and kept it all moving along. Would highly recommend

judith_m

Guide was wonderful but started late , then waited over an hour to get in to Academia-we were then limited there, in order to be on time for Duomo climb -then told we could go visit the Tower and Baptist chapel anytime in next 72 hours

Leighton_L

Our guide was excellent, patient, courteous super informative and communicated clearly! I’ll admit the directions to the meeting point was a little confusing but as it turns out it was operator errors.

Michael_Z

Viewing the statue of David was. Wonderful. There is no skip the line at the Academia. We waited an hour and 15 minutes in line. The Duomo tour was basically nonexistent. Everyone in our group was under the impression that the tour included touring the Church, the Bapistry and the Museum as well as the climb. In fact only the Dome climb was part of the tour. We were informed that we could enter the Church, Bapistry, and Museum on our own but the church was already closed when we arrived and we were told we would have to come back the next day which was impossible since we were not staying in Florence. This was a total ripoff for the price we paid for the tour and was totally misrepresented
