Unfortunately, the road from Hana around to the west was closed for construction so we just did a round trip on the main Hana Rd. Doug was a fantastic guide. He grew up on road and shared a lot of his experiences. He also attended high school at the Kamehameha school in Honolulu where he was immersed in Hawaiian history and culture which he shared with us. The stops were great, the lunch was tasty. We had a great day.

There was not much luxury involved. We were stuck in the back of a van with uncomfortable wheel wells. The breakfast consisted of a piece of bread and a piece of pineapple. Lunch was good. Driver was knowledgeable. It would have been better to rent a car and do it alone. Only advantage was hearing some history from the driver but other passengers made it not as enjoyable because they wouldn’t shut up. Heard a lot about the wealth of the owner. So glad I could contribute to his wealth.

I am not sure if my expectations were wrong, but disappointed especially for the cost. Use this as you see appropriate. 1. 11 adults is tight. You either cram 4 in the back row. Or the single rider is barely able to see. 2. Signed up for full circle. Got a down and back. Big hype about Hona.. and we drove through it. We selected your company based on our conversation with you about the tour. 3. Saw the sights but with the expectation of 4 stops including lunch .. they were drive bys and picture opportunities were limited or from the inside of the van window. 4. Lunch: Fried fish prepared in advance was disappointing. Soggy.Worst meal We’ve had on any excursion 5. When you called, if we switched it sound like you were going to be our driver. Positives. Van was nice and clean. Brandon was an excellent driver and enjoyed the conversation. With thw exception of lunch stop, we enjoyed the stops, limited. Melissa is passionate.. but talks a lot, sometimes in circles.. she can make a long trip longer.

Absolutely amazing day. Highly recommend this tour, which starts by going off the beaten track into upcountry Maui. You then join the main road to Hana for the way home, stopping at all the major sights. Our guide Everett was knowledgeable and friendly and drove very safely on a difficult road. Pick up was on time and the van incredibly comfortable. Lunch was also delicious at a beautiful flower farm. Definitely recommend this rather than the standard tour where you do the same road both ways.

Amazing tour!! Janelle, our tour guide, was awesome. She was friendly, funny, had a lot of personal anecdotes and stories and a vast knowledge on Hawaiian history & culture. Stuff I learned on the tour with Janelle came up later in my trip and I felt knowledgeable from the tour. Not to mention the beautiful sites!! If you’re considering traveling through Road to Hana I definitely recommend a tour and I recommend this tour! The owner of the company is multi generation Hawaiian and has several personal touches that sets the tour apart from others. There is also breakfast snacks & lunch provided and you stop at the best spots- some of the popular ones and some hidden gems. Book with Hawaiian style for the best part of your trip to Maui!

Russell did a great job driving the twists and turns and giving us a great narrative along the way. We saw a lot of beautiful sights along the way. He did a great job of making us feel safe, and helped accommodate a passenger who became car sick along the way.

I have nothing but great things to say about this company! My tour guide was Doug and his attention to detail, engaging stories and charismatic personality were a real treat during our all day excursion. He was very personable with everyone on the bus and him and his lovely wife, Lilia, have done a fantastic job putting this tour business together. The ride is both informative and educational for tourists who are interested in learning more about authentic Hawaiian culture while sightseeing the best of Hanna. I went solo, made friends along the way and I hope you give this tour a chance so you can enjoy a stress free, luxury way of seeing Hana’s hidden gems.

Our all day trip on the Road to Hana was amazing! Our tour guide was Janel and she did a wonderful job of navigating the sometimes sketchy roads in a big tour van. The sites we saw were breathtaking. Janel is a great tour guide. She gave us so much information about the island and the history of Hawaii. What a wonderful day to see such beautiful scenery! Take all day to see all of the Road to Hana. Going the reverse way was the best way to see everything without getting stuck in all the traffic.

Pick up was on time. Everett our guide was professional and friendly. He told us stories about Hawaii, and answered questions. He set up tables and served a box lunch. We saw beautiful waterfalls, black sand beaches with a blow hole. Rainbow Cyprus trees, and many Surprises along the way. Mahalo Everett you gave us a beautiful memory to hold onto. We will be back. Mahalo Hawaiian Tours, and Mahalo Everett for your safe driving, and the wonderful tour. Sue and Tim L.
