Halona Blowhole
From this lookout, visitors can see ocean water shoot 30 feet into the air from a lava tube. The Hālona Blowhole is one of Hawai‘i’s natural wonders, created thousands of years ago when molten lava tubes were formed from volcanic eruptions. There aren’t any active volcanoes on O‘ahu anymore, but the blowhole remains a must-see scenic stop. Hālona, in Hawaiian, means “lookout,” and visitors can see miles of pristine coastline waters from the lookout. On clear days, the islands of Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i can also be seen in the distance.
Sandy Beach Park
Surfers are drawn to the large waves at this scenic beach with food trucks often in the parking lot. A famous hangout for locals, and just amazing playground, Sandy Beach is the perfect place to watch the experts play with expert waves... It's also a convenient bathroom stop for our tour!
Tropical Farms (The Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet)
ice pit stop on our tour of Oahu. They offered free coffee samples. I recommend the Kona Macadamia blend - mild but delicious. A well provisioned store with a variety of art and Macadamia nuts based products. There a variety of smaller stores located outside on the periphery. Not much to look at beyond the store, maybe because of the weather but I didn't see anything indicating otherwise. Nothing super special beyond a nice place to stop on the way to somewhere else.
Byodo-In Temple
The Byodo-In Temple is located at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountains in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. It was established on June 7, 1968, to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. The Byodo-In Temple in O'ahu is a smaller-scale replica of the over 950-year-old Byodo-in Temple, a United Nations World Heritage Site in Uji, Japan. The Byodo-In Temple is a non-practicing Buddhist temple which welcomes people of all faiths to worship, meditate or simply appreciate its beauty.
Kualoa Regional Park
A Picturesque waterside park offering mountain & ocean views, picnic lawns & beach access.
