Your Itinerary

North Stradbroke Island

Take the ferry, get a coffee, and relax enjoying the amazing views of Moreton Bay on this 45 minutes crossing.

Brown Lake

Brown Lake is pure rainwater tinged brown by the native tea trees, also known as Lake Bummiera, some say this hidden treasure has rejuvenating waters. Learn about the island and the historic and cultural importance of the Quandamooka People. Get refreshed and reenergized at the fresh waters of this beautiful lake.

Cylinder Beach

From one of the most impressive lookouts at the island, take amazing pictures and go for a quick walk at this paradisiac beach.

North Gorge Walk

The big attraction of the day: The Gorge Walk. On this 40-45 minutes walk, you will enjoy the amazing views of the Coral Sea at the South Pacific Ocean, and its incredibly rich marine life: great chances to spot manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and much more.

Point Lookout

It's time for lunch at Point Lookout. As we like giving our travelers multiple choices, you can either bring your own lunch or buy a takeway and enjoy a picnic with amazing views.

Amity Point Beach

It's then time to relax at the beach, so the tour will be headed to Amity Point. Your tour guide will take you on a walk (secret place) to search for koalas in the wild and, if koalas-spotting is not your thing, again you have options: enjoy even more time at the beach.

A long day exploring North Stradbroke Island with Brett, our driver and guide. We saw a variety of natural features of the island and it was accompanied by informative commentary.

The views are wonderful. We took many pictures. Even though we can't see the dolphins on that day, we saw Koala and kangaroo instead. They are adorable. Brett, our tour guide is kind and welcoming. I highly recommend to join a tour to North Stradbroke Island. You won't regret for this.

I recommend a tour. Brett, my guide, was very kind and assisted me over the phone when I couldn't find the bus. And they provided lots of talk and music for the tourists to enjoy. this tour of this island can be enjoyed alone! Thank you a lot!

The weather was nice during our visit to the island. Katie was our tour guide for the day and she was great. She provided good insights on the island. We were lucky to be able to see a couple of koalas, a wallabi, a kangaroo and a dolphin on our trip. Definitely would recommend 😊

Just returned from a very enjoyable day trip to North Stradbroke Island and were SO fortunate to have Katie as our guide!! Her enthusiasm is contagious and made the day just fly by. We unfortunately had some rain, but were able to get all the highlights in, absolutely gorgeous coastal/gorge walk, lucky enough to see 2 kangaroos, 5 koalas and dolphins! Katie timed everything perfectly, ferry rides were great, prawn sandwich at Point Lookout was to die for, great ice cream stop, great album of "fun" photos and played a very FUN game!! I would take this tour again in a heartbeat and HOPE that Katie was our guide!!

I had a great day, loved it despite the weather being wet and windy. Our guide Katie made our day extra fun, ensured we were comfortable and helped us get to know each other, we met some lovely people on the tour. Katie recommended good food and drove us safely to many interesting spots on Straddie. I especially loved seeing koalas in the wild, doing the gorge walk and Katie's knowledge about each spot we visited made the tour very interesting. I appreciated the photos Katie took and shared with us all. Highly recommended this tour and I'd go again.

North Stradbroke Island (Hit the Road Tours) A great day out and loved every minute. Guide Kate was great and full of energy and fun. Ferry trip on bus to island followed by refreshing swimming in a lake, short coastal walk along clifftops to view the Pacific was a spectacle, as on this day there were huge waves and the blowhole was extremely active. Another refreshing swim at a sheltered lagoon, prawn lunch on the beach, followed by koala spotting (we saw one high up a tree). Beautiful day ended with sun setting over the water on the return ferry ride. A memorable day out and well worth the price.
